“Whenever we look at tracks where we might promote, we look at two things,” TBJ Promotions Founder Tony Bruce Jr. said. “First, how awesome is the race track. Second, how good is the fan base. At US 36, the racing is always great and the fan base is huge. They really support sprint cars in that part of the country.”

Preview of this weekend's Eagle Nationals
06/06/2011Lonnie Wheatley, TULSA, Okla. (June 6) – Last year, Jason Johnson and his newly-formed JJR team hit it’s Lucas Oil Sprint Car championship stride with an Eagle Nationals triumph.
Now, Johnson carries the momentum of this past weekend’s Lucas Oil ASCS presented by K&N Filters National triumph at Little Rock’s I-30 Speedway into this year’s edition of the prestigious Eagle Nationals at Nebraska’s Eagle Raceway.
The Lucas Oil Sprint Cars, mixing it up with the Speedway Motors ASCS Midwest Regional forces, take to the high-banked, 1/3-mile Eagle Raceway clay oval on both Friday and Saturday night this weekend with both nights taped for later broadcast on the VERSUS Network. Saturday’s...more
Eagle Nationals countdown has started
06/02/2011Inside Line Promotions, TULSA, Okla. (June 2) – If you like fast cars, slide jobs, wheelies and everything else produced by a high-banked short track, look no further than the Eagle Nationals.
After a successful venture last year with the ASCS National Tour, TBJ Promotions has brought the famed two-day event at Eagle Raceway in Eagle, Neb., back on June 10-11. In fact, the races were so spectacular that they are again tabbed to be nationally televised on a tape-delayed basis by the VERSUS network.
“I think Eagle Raceway is one of the top facilities in the country and it deserves to have a national race,” TBJ Promotions Founder Tony Bruce Jr. said. “It’s really wide, high banked and a...more
Bacon wins Steve King Memorial finale
05/29/2011Inside Line Promotions, JETMORE, Kan. (May 29) – It has been anything but a winning season for Brady Bacon.
Entering Sunday’s race at The Great American Dirt Track in Jetmore, Kan., last year’s ASCS National Tour runner-up had a string of DNFs and hadn’t found Victory Lane during this trying season.
However, on a night with howling winds and fierce tempers, the 21-year-old notched his first win of the season in a wild 30-lap feature during the finale of the 3rd annual Steve King Memorial presented by The Oil Medics.
Bacon inherited the lead when contact between Brian Brown and Derek Drown, who were in the top two positions, sent the duo spinning in turn four with approximately 10...more
Dover claims Night 1 of Steve King Memorial
05/28/2011Inside Line Promotions, JETMORE, Kan. (May 28) – It was a bit confusing and a roller-coaster finish to Saturday night for Jack Dover.
The 21-year-old thought inadvertent radio chatter cost him Night 1 of the 3rd annual Steve King Memorial presented by The Oil Medics at The Great American Dirt Track in Jetmore, Kan.
However, Derek Drown, who crossed the finish line first, was disqualified for a nose wing violation. That handed the opener of the two-day ASCS Sooner Region/NCRA event to Dover.
“It’s not the way I wanted to win, but I’ll take it,” he said with a big grin. “We showed out there that we were the fastest car over the race.”
Dover, who started seventh, worked his way...more
Steve King Memorial less than two weeks away
05/15/2011Inside Line Promotions – TULSA, Okla. (May 15) – The Steve King Memorial is more than just a weekend of racing.
It’s a significant event for a pair of communities – the sprint car society and the tiny town of Jetmore, Kan., which hosts the two races.
With a population of less than 1,000 people, Jetmore schedules its events around the two-day TBJ Promotions’ event – held at The Great American Dirt Track at Jetmore Motorplex on the Saturday and Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend.
In fact, the small town where King grew up virtually shuts down while the sprint car community shows up to pay homage to the late Steve King.
“Steve King was like an idol,” TBJ Promotions Founder Tony Bruce...more
Century Flood Postpones Rock 'N Roll 50
05/06/2011Century Flood Postpones Rock 'N Roll 50
Lonnie Wheatley, TULSA, Okla. (May 5, 2011) – The Century Flood that has been ravaging the Midwest and Mid-South in recent days has proven too much for the Lucas Oil ASCS presented by K&N Filters National series, as Saturday night’s scheduled Rock ‘N Roll 50 at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, AR, has been postponed.
A possible makeup date for the lone 50-lapper on the Lucas Oil ASCS National schedule is under discussion between TBJ Promotions, Riverside promoter Clayton Allen and ASCS officials.
While the track is believed to be in condition to race on, extensive flooding that has wreaked traffic havoc and is only expected to...more
